In weekend, the officers from the mobile teams of the Border Police counteracted three cases of transportation of various goods, for which the drivers, the citizens of Moldova did not have any certificates of origin.

The Deputy Head of the Border Police Department, Ianus Erhan hold today, February 13, 2014 a meeting with the representative of the Federal Agency for combating drugs (DEA) of the U.S. Department of Justice, Brian Malagrida and the Liaison Officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the Southeastern European Center of law enforcement (SELEC), Dragos Neagu.
The Border Guard officers, during 2013, identified in border crossing points 1744 foreign nationals, who did not respect the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.They exceeded the term of stay, envisaged by the Article 333 of the Contravention Code of RM (violation of rules of stay in the Republic of Moldova).
The Risk Analysis Unit of Border Police has developed and recently released annual report on operational activities for 2013.
The Border Police officers, during 2013, registered 972 cases of violation of the border regime involving 977 persons. The majority of the offences, 660, were committed not because of lack of knowledge regarding rules of stay in the border area, but because of the ill-will. Similarly, a great number of illegal acts is represented by fish and wildlife poaching and deforestation.
