89 Border Police officers have demonstrated their qualities of fighters in the first sporting competition in the framework of Spartakiada of the Border Police, Edition 2014.
As a result of the specific activities within the area of competence, in order to monitor and control the state border, as well as to prevent and combat illegal migration and cross-border crime, the Border Police officers, during the last 24 hours, registered the following illegal acts:
The First Sector of the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova which entirely corresponds to European requirements was inaugurated today at Ocniţa, in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Iurie Leanca, Minister of Internal Affairs Dorin Recean, Head of the Border Police, Dorin Purice and the representatives of the local public authority.
Thursday, 27 February, 2014, at 12:00 Border Police organizes an official ceremony of inauguration of the Office of the Border Police Sector Ocniţa.
The event shall be attended by Minister of Internal Affairs Dorin Recean, Head of Border Police, Dorin Purice and the representatives of the local public administrations.
Friday, 28 February, beginning with 10.00 in the Hall of Wrestling of the Sport Club "Olimpia" (72/II Decebal St., Chişinău) shall take place the Border Police Championship at unarmed self-defence.
This is the first of seven planned sports events within the Spartakiada Games edition 2014. At the competition will participate the Border Police officers from all subdivisions of the institution. We invite at the event the representatives of media institutions concerned.

The Border Police officers detained two Moldovan citizens trying to cross "invisibly" the border with the intention of reaching illegally Ukraine.
