The Border Police officers discovered two persons (brother and sister) from Iran who tried to reach European Union with false identity documents.
Yesterday evening at Chisinau- Airport BCP were presented at exit of the country, with route Chisinau - Madrid - Lisbon, two young persons, who were identified with identity documents issued by the Israeli authorities.
The Border Police officers in common with Customs officers revealed several grams of vegetable origin mass similar to marijuana, which a young man was planning to take out the country. The narcotic substance was concealed in man’s personal luggage.
As a result of carrying out specific activities in the area of competence, the Border Police officers, during 10 – 16 March 2014, revealed and documented 149 persons, who violated the border and migration legislation of the Republic of Moldova, as it follows:
A Moldovan was detained for the crime of organization the illegal migration of the Moldovan citizens in Turkey, using forged documents. The man along with other accomplices, during two years, has deceived many persons, Moldovan citizens willing to work in Turkey and receiving from them big sums of money, tens of thousands of dollars.
During the meeting today, 14 March, 2014, of the European Union Council, in the format of the Ministers of Transport, the EU Member States supported the Commission's proposal to cancel the visas for short trips (for stays of up to 90 days during 6 months) in the Schengen area for the citizens of Moldova, holders of biometric passports.
The adoption of the respective proposal by EU Member States ends deliberative phase of the decisional procedure of EU on visa regime liberalization.
As a result of the specific activities within the area of competence, in order to monitor and control the state border, as well as to prevent and combat illegal migration and cross-border crime, the Border Police officers, during the last 24 hours, registered the following illegal acts:
Within the last 24 hours, the Border Police officers countered several cases of border regime violation, when six Moldovans were fined for illegal fishing or illegal collecting of ferrous items and two Iraqis for the rest within the border area without the permission to stay in the area.
