Yesterday, September 23, the team of the Border Police being on patrol in the area of responsibility of the District Ungheni detained 10 meters from the river Prut a transport means. The man, who was driving the transport unit could not justify his presence in the border area, however, during the control of the vehicle there were found several boxes wrapped in black foil.
The Border policemen from the checkpoint Ungheni (rail) have interrupted the journey to a person with a foreign citizenship, who presented for control a forged passpor. The young woman, aged 22, identified as a citizen of Iran, was found in international passenger flow along the route Chisinau-Bucharest.
The mobile teams officers of the Border Police, on weekend, detained in traffic four drivers involved in illicit activities, including three driving the transport means illegally reassembled and another - transported material goods without the provenance documentation.
As a result of carrying out of the specific activities in the area of competence, the Border Police officers, during 15-21 September 2014, revealed and documented 141 persons, who violated the border and migration legislation of the Republic of Moldova, as it follows:
Border Police participated in the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Moldova. On this occasion, today, Chisinau International Airport organized a great show.

Border police conducted house searches from Lipcani sector in the locality Pererata, targeting a young 31 year-old suspect in attempted illegal crossing of 12,000 cigarettes over the River Prut (publicized case earlier this week).
