Strengthening capacities of Border Police officers on public health alerts
Starting from today, Border Police staff, especially those operating in Border Crossing Points (BCP) are participating in a specialized course on Ebola virus. The inspectors of the Chisinau International Airport BCP were the first to be informed on the consequences, main risks, and protection and prevention measures.
On 6th August, the members of the National Council on Integrated Border Management (NCIBM) met within an ordinary meeting. The activity focused on discussing the draft National Strategy on Integrated Border Management for 2014-2017 (NSIBM) and its Action Plan according to provisions of NCIBM Regulation.

The persons involved in criminal activity have been caught red-handed while pumping the alcohol through hoses from the territory of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine.
The Border Policemen were imposed to use endowment weaponry to hold three Moldovans carrying over 264,000 contraband cigarettes. Following the legal use of weapons, one of the smugglers was injured, being transported to the district hospital, where he was given medical care, then he refused hospitalization.
Improving the professional skills of employees, increasing the initial and ongoing training level, as well as providing the necessary staffing in the divisions - were the targets of the Border Police in human resources domain in the first half of the year.
