The impact of visa liberalization with the EU on the activity of the Border Police and the priorities of the institution for the years 2014 - 2016
The entire management team of the Border Police was held today in the framework of a working session to familiarize with the process of European integration and the impact of liberalization of visa regime with the EU on the activity of the Border Police, and namely, the potential risks, but also the actions that are to be undertaken after the elimination of visas for Moldovan citizens who will travel to the Schengen area.
About 3.5 tonnes of fruits and vegetables, without any accompanying documents of origin of goods introduced illegally into the country, were retained by the mobile team of the Border Police Department at the entry to locality Giurgiuleşti.
As a result of the specific activities within the area of competence, in order to monitor and control the state border, as well as to prevent and combat illegal migration and cross-border crime, the Border Police officers, during the last 24 hours, registered the following illegal acts:

The Head of the Border Police, Dorin Purice, held on 15 April a working meeting with the Head of the Border Police from Stockholm, Peter Nilsson.The respective meeting was held in the context of the Project of the Swedish Institute for cooperation in the region of the Baltic Sea, “Molsto " whose first beneficiary is the Bureau for Migration and Asylum of the Republic of Moldova.
Today, April 16, 2014, the Vice-Minister of Internal Affairs Serghei Diaconu, attends the meeting of the RM-EU Cooperation Subcommittee No. 3 "Customs, trans-border cooperation, money laundering, drugs, illegal migration".
60 bottles of ethylic alcohol and 5400 of cigarettes had to be smuggled out of the country via the border crossing points Basarabeasca and Costeşti . Moldovans who resorted to trickery were identified by the joint team consisted of Border Police and Customs officers.
