41 transport units, illegally reassembled were detected at border crossing points at the beginning of this year, another 147 have been documented by border guards during 2013.

The most common tricks of drivers are increasing the number of seats and installing illegal LPG supply systems. The last two such cases have been recorded at the border crossing point Palanca.

The Border Police of the Republic of Moldova has received computers and equipment from the Japan Tobacco International company (JTI), one of the leading manufacturers of cigarettes worldwide.

On the basis of the actions carried out in preventing and combating attempts to breach the border regime, as well as to detect persons who violate the provisions of the law in force, the Border Police officers of the Regional Directorate "South" within the last 24 hours, were able to counteract a case of illegal fishing.

The Border Police officers detained a consignment, which was transported from Ukraine to Moldova without accompanying documents.
The household goods were found in the result of an operation carried out by the officers from investigations and mobile teams from the Eastern Regional Directorate.
