To Ukraine with friend’s passport

foto simbolBorder Police officers have identified a young man from Ribnita town, who planned to arrive in Ukraine on the basis of foreign passport, which he received as a "loan" from his friend.

The Moldavian aged 29, was discovered this morning at BCP Palanca where he was present for exit from the country with a passport issued on the name of a resident of Căuşeni city.

On occasion of performing specific formalities, the Border Police officers found that among persons present at the border crossing point and the one in the photograph affixed to the travel document there were noticeable differences in physiognomy, for which reason the investigations were initiated and was established the true identity.

In the investigation, the man admitted that the passport did not belong to him, his passport being left as mortgage for some debts. Similarly, as reported, the young man got the document from a party where a friend offered to "borrow" his personal passport.
The passport was seized, the case still being investigated by the Special Investigation Division officers of the Eastern Regional Directorate.
