As a result of carrying out of the specific activities in the area of competence, the Border Police officers, during 12-18 May 2014, revealed and documented 123 persons, who violated the border and migration legislation of the Republic of Moldova, as it follows:
- 10 persons for illegal crossing or attempt to cross the border illegally;
- 53 persons for violation of border area regime and BCPs regime;
- 8 persons for presenting of false documents;
- 12 cases of illegal border crossing of the state border of material goods;
- 14 foreign citizens for violation of rules of stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
- 26 persons in conflict with law and 4 transport units under confinement were detained at the border crossing points, as a result of information exchange of national and international law enforcement authorities.
The flow of people crossing the state border was about 244 000 persons and the transport traffic flow recorded approximately 53 000 of transport means units.
