The football players of the Border Police were ranked first in the traditional softball tournament organized by the National Olympic and Sports Committee of the Republic of Moldova. The competition was held on occasion of World Olympic Day.
Fight for champion title was carried out between 8 teams, representing Border Police Department, Department of Penitentiary Institutions, Dinamo MIA, CNOS, Farma Prim, Airport, Moldova Agroindbank and Martelina . The matches were played on the Central Sports Club stadium "Dinamo" in April- May 2014.
The semifinal tournament took place on 17 May, in the framework of which the Border Police officers faced the team of Department of Penitentiary Institutions. The game was a tense one, where one of the representatives had chances to win, though with a score of 2:0 the Border Police team has ensured its presence in the final.
With the same score, the football players of the Border Police finally managed to impose themselves in front of the players of Dinamo MIA.
In a festive manner, to the winners were handed their diplomas and trophies of the tournament.
