The Border Police officers detained a consignment, which was transported from Ukraine to Moldova without accompanying documents.
The household goods were found in the result of an operation carried out by the officers from investigations and mobile teams from the Eastern Regional Directorate.
The car of model Volkswagen Sharan with number plates from Orhei which was led by a man aged 33, was stopped at Căuşeni - Chisinau route and the checks revealed a wide range of household goods worth approximately 200 000 MDL.
The Border Police officers have found that the products were purchased in Odessa city and brought into the country in two batches by a well established scheme, finally unmasked by employees of Border Police.
Subsequently, at the site was called the task force group who escorted the car loaded with goods at the Căuşeni Police Inspectorate headquarters, where today the investigations still continu.
