As a result of carrying out of the specific activities in the area of competence, the Border Police officers, during 5-11 May 2014, revealed and documented 126 persons, who violated the border and migration legislation of the Republic of Moldova, as it follows:
- 18 persons for illegal crossing or attempt to cross the border illegally;
- 44 persons for violation of border area regime;
- 8 persons for presenting of false or falsified documents;
- 9 cases of illegal border crossing of the state border of material goods;
- 22 foreign citizens for violation of rules of stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
- 25 persons in conflict with law and 1 transport unit under confinement were detained at the border crossing points, as a result of information exchange of national and international law enforcement authorities.
The flow of people crossing the state border was about 255 000 persons and the transport traffic flow recorded approximately 54 000 of transport means units.
n the 1st day of visa liberalization regime for the Republic of Moldova, 1638 of Moldovan nationals, holders of biometric passports crossed the state border crossing points located at the border with the European Union and Chisinau International Airport.
14 654 Moldovan citizens, holders of biometric passports, went to the European Union in the first two weeks from visa liberalization regime for the Republic of Moldova. Moldovans have left the country crossing the border points located at Moldovan-Romanian border and via the checkpoint Chisinau International Airport.
