A car of model Audi Q7, which appeared to be stolen from Germany, was found and detained by Border Police employees.
As a result of the preventive activities and in order to combat illegal actions in the detection and to punish the attempts of illegal entry into the country and illegal stay of the transport means, the officers of the Special Investigations Directorate during the yesterday, May 7, 2014, on blvd. Moscova from the capital, retained an Audi Q7, registered in Germany, which figured as followed internationally since May 3. The car was driven by a man, a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aged 30.
The driver said he was not aware that the car is in search and that he bought the car from a man in Chisinau.
In preliminary investigations, the investigations officers of the Border Police have established that at the time of the entry into the country (10 April 2014), the transport unit was not in search. The investigations continue to identify the persons involved in criminal activity and to attract them to the responsibility.
