The Border Police delegation led by Dorin Purice, is between 6 to 8 May current in a working visit to the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia.
Today, 7 May, Mr. Dorin Purice met with his counterpart Normunds Garbars in the College of the State Border Guard of Latvia in the city of Rezekne.
The agenda of the meeting included issues related to the organizational structure of both institutions and achievements during the year. The Parties discussed the state of implementation of the concept of integrated border management and prospects of cooperation between border authorities of Moldova and the Republic of Latvia.
During the meeting, the Parties exchanged information on statistical data of the subdivisions with relevant attributions in border security, noting the appropriateness of these data with balance reports of the system of risk analysis.
At the end of the meeting, the two heads of the border authorities have signed the protocol of the working meeting, being agreed to maintain the same level of cooperation.
Since today, Dorin Purice attended the opening of the V Conference on research with theme "Innovations in the professional training of the border guards", which was organized by the College of the State Border Guard of Latvia. Similarly, the Moldovan delegation visited several subdivisions in order to exchange experience and familiarization with the best practices.
Note: The visit takes place in the context of the cooperation agreement between the Border Guard Service of the Republic of Moldova and the State Border Guard Service of the Republic of Latvia of 26 August 2005.
