Continuity of cynologist inspectors training, supported by EUBAM

c1Today is completed a training work in the field of search and detection of drugs, within which were trained the cynologist inspectors from Moldova and Ukraine and their four-legged colleagues. The course took place in the Cynologist Center of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, from the city of Ocniţa with the support of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM).

During three days of work the cynologist experts got familiar with various topics and applications to undertake the best European working methods, in particular the selection and testing of dogs, the steps of training and the methods of development of unconditional instincts as well as the training of the four-legged in relation to service activities.
In practical classes, the cynologists with the four-legged colleagues were trained in the secrets of developing the search capabilities to detect drugs by smell, accommodation with special equipment, inclusively using the method of development of instincts in game.

The category of service dogs specially trained for narcotics detection and reporting, are now increasingly asked by security forces due to expansion of crime phenomenon and varieties of means used in violation of the laws. In this context, an important role is a well organized and conducted training of the dogs, that after each course the service dogs to trace, through specific manifestations, the narcotic substances hidden.

Four cynologist inspectors from different subdivisions of the Border Police, together with their four-legged colleagues were involved in the respective training course.
