Late last week, in Bucharest, Romania, experts of the entities specialized in the field of development of external assistance projects from the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova and Romania met in a working session.
The purpose of the meeting consisted in the exchange of experience in project management with external funding, but also in strengthening the bilateral partnership relations.
Additionally, the agenda of the meeting included issues related to identifying points of common interest on external assistance in terms of new funding opportunities for the period 2014 - 2020, eligible for both border institutions as well as the discussions related to structures and mechanisms for coordinating external assistance, which culminated in the taking over of good practices in the field.
Also, the Moldovan delegation visited the National Coordination Centre of the Border Police of Romania and some specialized units, where they got acquainted closely with the peculiarities of general and technical daily activities to attract and use the foreign funds throughout the segment of responsibility.
The meeting was held in accordance with the provisions of the Plan on development of the cooperation of the border institutions of the Republic of Moldova and Romania for 2015.
