During the period 25 - 27 March 2015, the Border Police delegation led by Deputy Head of Department, Ianuş ERHAN participated in the workshop organized by Gemalto JSC on the topic of bilateral border projects. The event took place in Madrid city, Spain.

The objective of the workshop was the identification of the necessities of the Border Police and priority directions of cooperation between the institution and Gemalto JSC.
This event aimed at presenting a variety of technical solutions aimed at various fields of activity at the border, including border control, management of permits and visas, checking documents, eGate, portable / mobile equipment, management of consignment system, biometric documents. Similarly, the Border Police delegation familiarized with the proposed systems, by providing practical demonstrations.

The meeting was held within the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of the Border Police of MIA of the Republic of Moldova and the international company Gemalto JSC, signed on February 17, 2015 in Chisinau.
