Today, October 21, 2014, the head of the Border Police, Dorin Purice, received a visit on the new internal security attaché of the French Embassy in Bucharest, Herve Dages.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Dages congratulated the border institution with visa liberalization regime with the European Union and noted that up to the present moment there have not been recorded abuses by Moldovan citizens traveling to France.
During the discussions, the sides reviewed the current state of cooperation, stressing the fact that the Moldovan-French cooperation relations border area know a true ascent, especially in training and informational support from French experts destined for trainers, trainees and experts of the border institution , who increased the level of professional training and contributed to the priorities realization set by the Border Police.
Likewise, both parties addressed the prospects of bilateral dialogue through enhanced collaboration in terms of identifying common challenges and risks and their management. In this context, a special emphasis will be put on the fight against organized crime and illegal migration, but also improve the efficiency of operational level.
At the end of the meeting, Dorin Purice assured in terms of opening border institution for proactive cooperation and stressed the need to ensure a two-way dialogue.
