On the first page of the site Border Police can be viewed from today, August 5, 2016, the average waiting time at border crossings (road) for all categories of vehicles: cars / buses and trucks. The new Application "Traffic Online" has been developed to support persons crossing the existing road crossing points at the border, offering the possibility to opt for choosing a route as less crowded. The online Application can be accessed from any device with Internet access.
To ensure greater visibility of product, the information module was placed in the first position on the right side of the page Border Police (www.border.gov.md) being easily accessible, just by clicking on the image flashing. Immediately is opened the map of the Republic of Moldova, with all functional road crossings on the border with Romania and Ukraine. Three colors, which are labeled with indicators of crossing points will be changed depending on the average waiting time at these points. The green color indicates a standby time of up to 30 min, yellow - up to 60 minutes, and the red color will signal that the respective crossing point is in high demand and waiting time exceeds one hour.

Information on waiting time at the state border crossing shall be provided by the regional dispatchers and will be regularly updated once per hour or when required. Once knowing the waiting time at the border crossing points, each participant to cross-border traffic can plan his journey before starting it, opting for a less crowded checkpoint.oint, so it is included in this calculation not just the control performed by the border police officers, but alos by other institutions with attributions at the border. When carrying out a thorough check, exceeding the deadline set, the vehicle will be sent in the second line of control in a separate location, without affecting average waiting time at the stationed crossing point.
The Application is a product developed by an IT company from Romania in partnership with the Information Technology Directorate of Border Police, without any expenses incurred.
Note: During the summer the flow of people and vehicles is increasing significantly. According to statistics, in June and July was recorded throuegh state border crossings a flow of over 3 mln 800 thousand crossings of persons, by 13.01% more than the same period of the last year and about 900 000 crossings of transport means, up by 20.50% compared to the same period of 2015. in August of the previous year was recorded the highest number of crossings for the entire summer season, in this regard we expect that these values to increase also in 2016 .
