Over 175 kg of narcotic substaces, detected according to the information of border policemen

The illicit drug trafficking is a a form of cross border manifestation and the fight against this criminal phenomenon involves the systematic exchange of information, the full use of international investigative tools and the development of common investigative techniques. In this regard, the employees of the Moldovan Border Police maintain close cooperation with the specialized subdivisions in different countries, the correlation continues through the exchange of information and data on drug trafficking. The latest results were recorded after a joint operation with counterparts from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, which under operative materials accumulated by the Moldovan border policemen were able to uncover and document two cases of international drug trafficking. In both detentions are involved the Moldovan citizens and foreigners. Currently, the investigations are carried out to elucidate the circumstances and to attract all the participants to the liability.
The first case occurred at the polish - belarusian border, on September 15 2014. For control was stopped a car of model "KIA Sorento", in which were found in places crafted, an amount of about 163, 2 kg of hashish.
The second case was registered on November 24, 2014 at the border with R.Bielorusia, at the entry to the country. During a thorough verification of a Citroen C4 were found specially made spaces, where there were raised about 12 kg of marijuana of type "hydroponics".
