The Border Police Inspectors of Sector Brînza arrested a Moldovan who tried to illegally exit the Republic of Moldova by foot on the "green border" with Romania.

On 9 May, as a result of information received from the local population, within the range of the responsibility of Border Police Sector Brînza were intensified the surveillance activities of the state border, the result being detected a person coming towards the boundary line with Romania. The Border Police officers acted expeditiously managing the apprehension at about 100 meters from the border with the neighboring state.

After checking it was determined that the person is a Moldovan citizen, aged 51, who has motivated his attempt to cross the "green border" illegally as because of lack of identity documents. However, while the continuation of his checks, the border inspectors stated that he had a criminal record for theft, however, been detected also a document confirming his legal exit from prison.

The employees of the Border Police drawn prior acts of criminal investigation for committing the crime of attempted illegal border crossing, investigations being continued, and upon completion, being taken the legal steps.
