A Swedish citizen was detained in Chisinau International Airport after the Border Policemen and customs officials discovered in his baggage cigarette packs in amount of 1850.
The man aged 29, presented himself at the exit of the country, in the passenger flow of air route Chisinau - Riga, on June 24, at around 14.30.
The behavior of Swedish raised suspicions at the team of joint control, right at the moment of performing the first line security verifications, also, seemed suspicious his baggage, for which reason it was subjected to further investigation.
As a result of the research were discovered 1850 packs of cigarettes of various trademarks, which the foreigner has not declared.
On the basis of the respective case was established the protocol on offense, Art. 287 paragraph 10, Offences Code of the RM, the goods were seized and the offender was punished with a fine of 3,000 MDL
