Last week, between 12th and 16th June 2017, it was held the second training session for the staff from the structures of the National Council for Integrated State Border Management of the Republic of Moldova.
The course was organized by the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Border Police, as a partner in the project „Further Implementation of the Integrated Border Management of the Republic of Moldova in line with the upgrading of the European IBM concept” funded by the European Union through the Mobility Partnership Facility, under the coordination of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
The main objective of the training session is increasing institutional capacities of Border Police Department through knowledge transfer on border management, as well as taking over, learning and adapting the best practices from the experience of Romanian state institutions in the elaboration, endorsement, adoption, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the National Integrated State Border Management Strategy.
28 representatives of the government authorities, which constitute the National Council for Integrated State Border Management of the Republic of Moldova, have expressed confidence in a more efficient and fruitful collaboration between their institutions, as successful as the collaboration between the 28 member states of the European Union, in order to align the model of Integrated Border Management to the requirements and standards of the European Union.
As a result, the Republic of Moldova will strengthen its state border management, thus contributing significantly to increasing the security at European Union external border by reducing the cross-border crime and illegal migration.
