Within the period 26 December 2016 – 1 January 2017 in BCPs, was noted a significant decrease of number of state border crossings, comparing to the penultimate week of December. The flow of persons was 333 287 crossings, lesser with 6.3 % and the traffic of transport units showed a value of 76 398 crossings, decreasing by 14 %.
However, on 31 December 2016 - 1 January 2017, the border policemen have registered a flow of 51 035 persons, up to 5.3% compared to the same period of the last year.
At the "green border" and at the border crossing points, the border police officers notified the 56 events, documenting the 61 persons who violated the border and migration legislation of the Republic of Moldova, as follows:
- 31 persons for the infringement of state border regime, as well as that of the BCPs;
- 7 persons presented false and falsified travel acts;
- 11 foreign citizens exceeded the period of stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
- 4 persons were documented for illegal transportation of goods;
- 8 persons investigated for breaching traffic regulations.
During the preceding week, 33 foreigners and 43 vehicles, were refused entry to the Republic of Moldova. Also, according to the data held, 9 Moldovans did not have access to enter the Russian Federation, and four co-nationals into European Union. From the Russian Federation were deported 4 co-nationals Moldovans.
The Border police officers had 11 border meetings with representatives of the border authorities of Ukraine and Romania in order to exchange information and acceptance transmission of offenders.
We shall remember that since December 10, 2016 were established new directions of travelling through the crossing point "Palanca" because it is carried out the reconstruction of the bridge located on the route Odessa-Reni, in the proximity of Palanca locality.
In order to support the participants at cross border traffic by offering the possibility to opt for an itinerary less crowded, on the first page of Border Police can be viewed a new application “ONLINE TRAFFIC”. The application puts at the disposal information on average waiting time in BCPS (road) for the categories of transport means: vehicles/buses and trucks.
